After defeating the defending champions, Waiuku  last week, Pukekohe must of thought they only had to turn up today to carry on the winning way against Ardmore Marist, who had gone down to new boys Onewhero.

Oh what a surprise they got as Ardmore Marist attacked from the get go, causing them to make lots of errors as well as giving away too many penalties and they never managed to recovered from trailing 23 – 6 at halftime.

Though they held Ardmore Marist scoreless in the second 40, they only added 10 points themselves and therefore suffered their first defeat for 2011.

So after five rounds Pukekohe and Manurewa top the Counties Manukau Premier Club Rugby table with 18 points and Waiuku, Ardmore Marist and Karaka sit on 16. Onewhero have 8 points, while Patumahoe and Bombay are rooted to the bottom on 2 and 0 points respectfully.
