Pukekohe Premiers hang on to win against Karaka

Pukekohe players celebrate their win at the final whistle. Counties Manukau Premier Club Rugby game between Pukekohe and Karaka, played at Colin Lawrie Fields, Pukekohe, on Saturday 6th of April 2013. Pukekohe won the game 27 – 23 after leading 13 – 11 at halftime.

Pukekohe continued their winning way yesterday when they defeated Karaka in the latest round of Counties Manukau Premier Club Rugby, 27 – 23.

The win takes them to the top of the points table with 17 points.

Karaka probably should of won the game as they dominated territory and possesion, but when it mattered they couldn’t turn it into points. They will be rueing the dropped drop ball over the try line that would of probably given them victory. They will need to re-group for their match next week against high flyers Onehwero, while Pukekohe travel north to take on Manurewa.
